ROXFIT: its App Store listing (description, in-app prices, compatibility, release notes), roxfit.app and Google Play. Rivo: its own feature list. US prices and ratings, 3 October 2026. “Not listed” means ROXFIT’s listing and website don’t claim it.
ROXFIT is ahead on six of these rows: Android, Garmin, live race tracking, the community feed, the workout builder and ratings. Rivo is ahead on the training plan, the plan aimed at your weakest stations and scoring sessions against it. The other rows are a matter of what you want: both have a predicted finish, both put race splits on an Apple Watch, and both cost $79.99 a year for the paid tier.
Is ROXFIT free?
Yes. ROXFIT’s core app is free on iPhone and Android, and its FAQ says the app “stays free”, with Ultra as premium features on top. Ultra launched on 1 October 2026 at $15.99 a month or $79.99 a year on the US App Store: Compete lets you race your past efforts or a friend across every workout and challenge (the free app gets one sponsored challenge a month), and Athlete IQ breaks down every split against your best and the field, with your strengths and weaknesses, division ranking and a predicted potential for next time.
Is Rivo free?
The Number is free, with no account: a predicted finish with its p10–p90 range and a confidence label, the stations costing you time in seconds, where you sit in your division and age group from real race results, and a card to share. The Plan, the race-day targets, session scoring and the dial are paid: $14.99 a month or $79.99 a year after a 14-day free trial, cancel any time.
Does ROXFIT predict your HYROX finish time?
In Ultra. ROXFIT’s Ultra page lists “your predicted potential for next time” in Athlete IQ, beside a breakdown of every split against your best and the field, and its release notes mention predictions and Doubles forecast confidence. Rivo’s prediction is free and needs no past race: a 5 km time and your sled push and sled pull times give a finish with a range and a label for how sure it is, and a published result you claim rebuilds it from a real race.
Does ROXFIT give you a training plan?
Not a multi-week one. ROXFIT’s FAQ says structured multi-week plans are not yet available; HYPE, its AI assistant, builds a single workout from text, a voice note or a photo, and its training planner schedules workouts across your week. Rivo’s Plan is built to your Number and your race date, with running, strength and the eight stations, a compromised run every week and loads set by sex and division; every four-week block targets the two stations costing you most.
Which is better on race day, Rivo or ROXFIT?
It depends on your watch and on where you want the target to come from; both put split targets on your wrist. ROXFIT’s PaceMe takes a target finish time, your division and your venue and maps out every run, every station and your roxzone total; you can edit any split, then sync it to Apple Watch or Garmin, which show live targets and a +/− delta at every split. Rivo builds 16 targets from your predicted finish for your next dated race, one for every run and station plus an allowance for the time between stations, on the phone and the Apple Watch; they come with the Plan and do not run on Garmin. Pick ROXFIT to race on Garmin or to set your own goal time; pick Rivo for targets built from a predicted finish. For what real finishers ran at each finish time, see HYROX splits by finish time.
Does Rivo or ROXFIT work with Garmin and Android?
ROXFIT does both: it is on Google Play, with 100K+ downloads, and it has a Connect IQ app in the Garmin store that runs workouts and PaceMe plans. Rivo is iPhone and Apple Watch only; it has no Android app and does not work with Garmin watches.
What does ROXFIT do that Rivo doesn’t?
- Android and Garmin, as above.
- Live race tracking: follow any athlete through a race, with alerts at the start and finish, at each station or when their rank changes.
- A community: a feed, follows, race partners and leaderboards.
- Results for anyone: compare your splits with the race average, your age group, your wave, a saved race or any athlete.
- HYPE: a workout written for you from a description, a voice note or a photo of a workout on paper.
- Ratings: 4,207 on the US App Store at 4.8; Rivo has none yet.
What does Rivo do differently?
- A prediction before your first race, free, from three numbers, a 5 km time and your two sled times, shown as a range with a label for how sure it is.
- What it is costing you, in seconds: the stations under the prediction, ranked.
- A plan for lifters who can’t run, dated to your race: each four-week block aimed at your two costliest stations, the long run at least 48 hours from a sled session.
- Training that moves the number: sessions from Apple Health and the Apple Watch matched to the plan and scored, and measured kilometre reps rebuilding the prediction.
- The dial: move one station and see the finish change.
Can you use Rivo and ROXFIT together?
Yes, and their free parts cost nothing. ROXFIT links your results, follows races and paces a goal time; Rivo’s Number predicts your finish and names the station costing you most. For the wider field, see the best HYROX app for what you need and ROXFIT alternatives.
How was this checked?

- Rivo’s facts come from its own feature list and App Store listing.
- Prices are US App Store in-app prices in US dollars; ratings are US App Store counts on the same day.
- “Not listed” means ROXFIT’s listing and website don’t claim it; it may still exist or arrive later.
- Names: ROXFIT is used only to identify its app, which belongs to its owner; Rivo is not affiliated with it.
